Hotspots Workshop for Coastal Forests

Hotspots photoA Hotspots workshop is planned for landholders and residents in coastal forests in the Nutleys, Baragoot, Cuttagee, Bunga, Murrah, Wapengo and Tanja areas on Saturday 15 October, 9am – 4.30pm at the Windsong Pavilion, Four Winds.

The Hotspots Fire Project enables landholders and public land managers to work together to reduce bush fire risk across the landscape, whilst maintaining and improving biodiversity.

This workshop is both for those who attended the Hotspots workshops in 2015 and for those who would like to explore ways to better protect themselves and their properties against fire and who would like to learn more about fire management in their region.

Since the workshops held in 2015 there have been some important developments in regards to the management of fire in the coastal forests between the Bermagui and Bega Rivers.

Participation is free with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided.
