A free Windbreak Design Workshop is being held at The Crossing Land Education Centre in Bermagui on Friday 9 September from 10am-4pm, led by Dean Turner (the Crossing), John Champage (SCPA) and Chris Post (Far South Coast Landcare).
The day includes information on windbreak design to reduce impacts from wind and fire as well as to provide essential habitat for locally threatened species. Information about our local koala population will be provided by Chris Allen, Senior Threatened Species Officer with the Office of Environment and Heritage.
People will have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and take part in practical tree planting and seed ball creation.
