Invitations will soon be arriving in the letter boxes of Kiah residents for a community information day on Tuesday 2 July 2019 from 9.30am-1.30pm to hear about and discuss the natural and cultural aspects of living in Kiah, to have lunch and to make connections.
Locals and experts from Council, the Atlas of Life, Local Land Services and Landcare will be on hand to present and discuss Indigenous and other local history, flora and fauna of the area, pest plants and animals, water and erosion control. This is your chance to find out lots about the place you live and to get any advice you need to look after it.
So look out for your green envelope and RSVP soon if you’re a Kiah resident, and if you live close to Kiah and would like to join in the day, contact Angelique McKechnie by 25 June on 6499 2208 or AMcKechnie@begavalley.nsw.gov.au to check if there are still places available.
If you’re from a different part of the Bega Valley Shire and would like a similar event hosted in your area, send a message to Natalie Ryan, Environmental Education Officer at Bega Valley Shire Council on nryan@begavalley.nsw.gov.au
