The NSW Government is transforming the way we manage, protect and enhance our biodiversity in NSW. It has developed two draft Bills which are open for public comment until 28 June 2016 at 5pm. These are:
- Draft Biodiversity Conservation Bill (PDF, 755KB)
- Draft Local Land Services Amendment Bill (PDF, 394KB)
The Biodiversity Conservation Bill is for a new Act relating to the conservation of biodiversity. It will repeal the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 and the animal and plant provisions of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 and will amend other Acts and instruments.
