Uncle Ossie Cruse<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The life story of well known local Aboriginal elder and pastor, Uncle Ossie Cruse, has been recorded by local filmmaker Toni Houston and will be featured on Australia Story on ABC TV tonight, 3 July at 8pm<\/strong> as part of NAIDOC Week.<\/p>\n

A main focus of Uncle Ossie’s work now is the \u201cHealing Through Learning\u201d project which helps young people to re-engage with their Aboriginal culture. A key part of this\u00a0is the development of the Bundian Way, an ancient ancestral pathway lined with Indigenous artefacts and early European settler ruins, which he hopes will become a cultural tourism pilgrimage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Peacemaker\u201d, premiers on Australian Story, ABC TV, on Monday 3 July\u00a0at 8pm or on ABC iview.<\/strong><\/p>\n
