His books include Dark\u00a0Emu, which won the NSW State Government Book of the\u00a0Year Award and puts forward an argument for a\u00a0reconsideration of the hunter-gatherer tag for pre-colonial Aboriginal Australians. The evidence\u00a0insists that Aboriginal people right across the\u00a0continent were using domesticated plants, sowing,\u00a0harvesting, irrigating and storing &#8211; behaviours\u00a0inconsistent with the hunter-gatherer label.<\/p>\n<p>The AGM will be held between 5.30pm-6.30pm, with all positions being declared vacant. The FSCLA welcomes new members to the committee.
