\"ProfessionalThe Sapphire Coast Regional Science Hub invites you to celebrate National Science Week 2016 with fun activities for all ages at the Sapphire Coast Science Festival from Saturday August 13 through to Sunday August 21<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Panboola will be hosting their ever popular Frogwatch event on Tuesday 16 Aug (5-7pm) as well as a demonstration of the uses of drones in conservation and for scientific research on Sat 20 Aug (10am-1pm). Both the activities are free of charge and numbers are limited so reserve your place<\/a>\u00a0soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Other great events taking place over the week include guided walks along the first part of the Bundian Way, films, a trivia night and robotics – check out this\u00a0link<\/a>\u00a0at the Atlas of Life in the Coastal Wilderness for more information.<\/p>\n

Frog watch at Panboola – Tuesday 16 August, 5-7pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Come and join us as we learn more about our local frogs and how important they are for telling us about the level of health of our creeks & wetlands.<\/div>\n

Steve Sass, a leading herpetologist renowned for his expertise on local frog populations, will lead the evening. Learn about frogs and their worldwide threats. Take part in a guided walk around the billabong as we understand how to survey for frogs and learn how to identify various frog species from both sightings and sounds.<\/p>\n

\"PeronsWear sturdy shoes and warm clothes. Bring insect protection and a torch or headlamp if you have one. Meet at Smiths Lookout.<\/p>\n
